The Chilean Government has adopted politics that are focused on opening doors to the World. This is appears to be reflected on the mining industry, fruit exporting, fishing and forestry areas. Tourism appears to be a secondary actor in this campaign.
Therefore, the task is clear and direct: go out and show the world our country, with the main purpose of attracting tourists for that way allow it to develop and to give it a shot without chimneys or the ma- chinery that the social progress brings. A real bet example for the regional tourism development and progress, is the Coquimbo Region, the Star Region, leaded by its Regional Director, Mr. Juan Alcayaga, who participates in different world trade exhibitions, showing all the attractive points of the region, such as: beaches, valleys, Luxury Hotels, gastronomy and its Astronomical Route that convert the 4th Region of Chile in a unique destination in the world.
