Dear Reader,

We are pleased to present the second edition of magazine TripChile. Through our new slogan - Chile in English - we seek to express our commitment to being a channel of communication both in print and on the Internet providing information about Chile to visitors to our country who speak English as a first or second language.

In this edition, we have introduced major changes to the design of the magazine, using colours to separate the articles dedicated to tourism (orange), business (blue) and culture (green). We hope that this will make it easier for the reader to find the articles that interest them. We have also added elements to help travellers during their stay in Chile, including two removable maps of Santiago and the city’s metro system.

As the publication of our second edition coincides with the beginning of a new season in the country’s ski-resorts in the central and southern Andes, we have included a special edition covering the main ski resorts plus other articles of interest.

It should be remarked that Chile’s capital Santiago offers visitors an exceptional opportunity to combine a wide variety of activities including winter sports, visiting the region’s many wineries and touring the beautiful resorts of the central coast, without travelling more than 200 kilometres.
